WAEC extends WASSCE for private candidates’ registration

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced an extension of registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates till 9th August.

It made this announcement on its Twitter handle on Saturday noting that candidates who wish to write the examination could take advantage of the extension to register.

“This is to inform intending candidates of the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2019-Second Series that the closing date for registration has been shifted to Friday, August 09, 2019,” the tweet read.

In another development, EduCeleb.com gathered that the marking of the just concluded Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school candidates conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO) would commence from Thursday, 25th July across Nigeria with the meeting of Chief Examiners.

Invited assistant examiners are expected to proceed to their respective marking centres for the coordination exercise on Friday, 26th July.

Also, intending uninvited examiners may attempt marking and attending the coordination provided that there are available spaces.
