These are the best scoring candidates in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The exam was written is in March by over 1.9 million candidates.

Data EduCeleb.com obtained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) shows that 13 candidates had the best ten results in the 2020 UTME.

The candidates hail from Anambra, Edo, Delta, Ekiti, Ondo, Akwa Ibom, Kwara, Oyo, and Ogun states.

Coincidentally, all the candidates applied to study various courses in engineering.

Of them all, five applied to study at the University of Lagos.

Two each chose Covenant University, Obafemi Awolowo University, and the University of Ilorin. One each desired to study at the Kwara State University and the University of Ibadan.

Best UTME candidates

The candidate with the highest UTME score in Nigeria is Maduafokwa Egoagwuagwu Agnes from Anambra State who scored 365 over 400.

That is followed by Nwobi Okwuchukwu David, also from Anabmra State, who came second and scored 363.

With 359 marks, two candidates came third. They are Ojuba Mezisashe Shalom and Elikwu Victor Chukwuemeka from Edo and Delta states respectively.

Adebola Oluwatobi Paul from Ekiti State follows them with 358 at the fourth position, while Gboyega Oluwatobiloba Enoch, also from Ekiti, is fifth with 356 marks.

Ojo Samuel Oluwatobi from Ondo State and Utulu Jebose George jointly share the sixth position with 355 marks.

Seventh on the rank is Osom Akan Awesome from Akwa Ibom State with 353 marks.

Four candidates shared the eighth position with a score of 352.

They are Akakabota Fejiro Simeon from Delta State, Ogundele Favour Jesupemi from Kwara State, Alatise Monsura Bisola from Oyo State, and Adelaja Oluwasemilore Daniel from Ogun.
