Kaduna to conduct free entrance exams for public, private school pupils

The Kaduna State government is billed to conduct the Common Entrance Examination into JSS1 for the 2019/2020 academic year next Saturday, 27th July, 2019.

It said that registration is free for all candidates in both public and private schools in the state who would be resuming in Junior Secondary School 1 next academic session.

A statement from the State Ministry of Education made available to EduCeleb.com on Tuesday, 23rd July revealed that the papers would start at all public schools across the state.

“This is to inform the general public, especially parents of pupils in primary six of both public and private schools, that the State Ministry of Education, Schools Quality Assurance Authority will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for the 2019/2020 Academic year into Junior Secondary School One,” ministry spokesperson, Ibrahim Abubakar wrote in the statement.

He added that the candidates were to present a passport photograph and their birth certificate or declaration of age. They were to also go with a pencil and an eraser to the exam venues.

Parents are expected to guide their children through making the right choice of schools, Mr Abubakar added.
