The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from April 5 to April 10, 2025.
The change, announced by JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Monday, is aimed at enhancing preparations and integrating new innovations for the upcoming examination cycle.
Key Updates on the 2025 UTME Schedule:
- The Mock UTME will now hold on Thursday, April 10, 2025, instead of the originally scheduled Saturday, April 5.
- The main UTME remains scheduled to commence on April 25, 2025.
Reasons for the Adjustment
JAMB explained that the adjustment allows for:
- Finalising key innovations to enhance the examination process.
- Ensuring examination centres are adequately prepared to accommodate the increasing number of candidates.
- Aligning with global best practices in examination administration.
Printing of Mock Notification Slip
Candidates who registered for the Mock UTME are advised to stay alert for the announcement on when to print their mock notification slip, which will contain details about their assigned examination centres.
Dr. Benjamin noted that the mock exam is designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, ensuring a smoother experience during the main UTME.
JAMB assured that the 2025 UTME will be one of the most efficiently conducted examinations in its history, leveraging advanced technology and innovative methodologies.
