CRUTECH appoints two female deputy VCs

The management of the Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) has appointed two female deputy vice-chancellors to pilot the affairs of the university for the next two years.

They are Professor Joy Etiowo and Professor Mary Eyo.

While Etiowo of Faculty of Communication Technology would serve as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Eyo of the Faculty of Education would be the deputy vice-chancellor Administration.

Their appointments were announced today at an emergency meeting of the university’s senate.

Etiowo holds a bachelors degree, master’s degree and PhD in English and Literary Studies all at the University of Calabar.

She previously taught at the College of Education, Akpakpa before joining CRUTECH.

The widely published don is also a teacher at the Calabar centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Eyo has research interests in guidance and counseling, morality, religious and history
