Crescent University has appointed Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti as its new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.
The announcement was made by the institution’s Proprietor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prince Ma’ruf Adesegun Ajibola, during the university’s 20th Founder’s Day celebrations held in Abeokuta.
Ajibola described Ebiti as a committed supporter of the university’s vision of academic and moral excellence, expressing confidence in his leadership for the institution’s next phase.
Ebiti, a seasoned accountant, industrialist, and philanthropist, is the founder of the Ibeji Foundation, through which numerous indigent but brilliant students have received scholarships across Nigerian universities, including Crescent University.

Before this appointment, he served as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Summit University.
University authorities noted that his longstanding relationship with Crescent University and contributions to educational development make him well-suited to lead the governing council.
The institution expressed optimism that his tenure will further strengthen its commitment to excellence and institutional growth.
