The management of University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has issued a directive urging graduates, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to collect their unclaimed certificates on or before Friday, January 17, 2025.
In a statement signed by the Registrar, M.A. Alfanla, the institution noted that a significant number of certificates remain uncollected, despite repeated reminders to graduates.
Deadline and Fine Imposed
The statement emphasised that any failure to collect certificates within the stipulated period would attract a weekly fine of ₦3,000 starting immediately after the deadline.
Required Documents for Collection
Graduates are required to present the following documents to facilitate the collection process:
- Evidence of payment for convocation.
- The original copy of their Statement of Result.
- A valid Student Identification Card.
Registrar’s Appeal
The Registrar, M.A. Alfanla, urged all affected graduates to comply promptly to avoid unnecessary financial penalties.
The management reiterated its commitment to ensuring a seamless process for certificate collection.
Graduates are encouraged to act swiftly to meet the deadline and avoid accumulating fines.
