The National Examination Council (NECO) has extended registration for the 2019 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) till 12th May.

This would afford schools the opportunity the register candidates for the nationwide examination.

This is contained in a notice sighted by EduCeleb.com, which was sent to state officers of NECO based on the approval of the Acting Registrar, Mr Abubakar Gana.

The registration had earlier closed in April.

NECO Acting Director of Examination and Assessment, Mr Mustapha Abdul who signed the message said that was the “second and final registration window.”

The rest of the message read thus, “Schools that failed to meet up with the registration period in the first instance, are advised to use the opportunity and conclude registration of their candidates.”

“Any School that fails to use this second opportunity may not be able to register for the exam this year.”

“Please bring this information to all schools in your State accordingly.”

EduCeleb.com reports that the 2019 NECO SSCE would commence on 20th May and end on 12th July, based on the timetable earlier released by the examination body.
