The Nasarawa state government has announced its plan to sack 1251 teachers for not possessing the requisite teaching qualification.

Executive Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) Mohammed Dan’azimi made the announcement while inaugurating a seven (7) man implementation committee to disengage the said teachers.

The board executive chairman who was represented by the secretary of the board, Hashiya Ahmed, stated that the committee has been given the mandate to take every necessary step to ensure that the affected teachers are registered with National Teachers Institute (NTI) and Collage of Education Akwanga to obtain requisite teaching qualification.

He added that there will be no tolerance for quackery, just as no teacher will be allowed to teach in any primary school in the state without a requisite teaching qualification.
