Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has on Monday appointed Fransisca Aladejana as the Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (Ekiti SUBEB) along with nine others.
The government disclosed in a statement made available to our correspondent in Ado-Ekiti that this was “in a bid to further position the administration for effective service delivery.”
EduCeleb.com reports that Aladejana, a professor of Science Education teaches at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
She had previously served as the Provost at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.
The Ekiti SUBEB, which the 60 year old would now head oversees all matters related to education at the primary school and junior secondary school levels of the state.
Aside Aladejana, Mrs Funke Fajobi was appointed Commissioner, SUBEB.
Other appointees include Alhaji Afolabi Ogunlayi was made the Senior Adviser, Economic Matters and Chair, Economic Development Council while Barrister Paul Omotoso is the new Senior Adviser, Political Matters to the governor.
Hon Makinde Araoye has been assigned Special Adviser, Federal Matters while Mrs Sola Salako-Ajulo is the Special Adviser, Communications and Strategy.
The office of Special Adviser, Investment, Trade and Innovations would be held by Mr Akintunde Oyebode.
Hon Sunday Adunmo is the Special Adviser, Road/Transport and Infrastructure.
Arc. Tajudeen Wale Ajayi is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Public Buildings and Infrastructure while Mr Muyiwa Ogunmilade would Chair the state’s Board of Internal Revenue.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode revealed that all these appointments are “with immediate effect.”
