AAUA promotes thirteen to professorial cadre

The Governing Council of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has ratified the elevation of thirteen academic staff to the positions of Professor and Reader.

Spokesperson of AAUA, Victor Akinpelumi disclosed in a statement that at its 74th Regular Meeting on Friday, 18th December, 2020.

The academic staff are from the faculties of Arts, Education, Science and Management Sciences.

The ratification followed the consideration of the reports of the Appointment and Promotion Board which was presented to the Governing Council by the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige.

The new Professors are: Omolere M. Ehinmore of the Department of History and International Studies; Uriel Okunrinmeta of English Studies; Sunday O. Adodo of Science Education; Olatunji S. Alimi of Educational Management and G.K. Olorunleke of Business Administration.

The Readers are Olusanya Faboyede and Adedayo E. Afe both of the History and International Studies department.

The duo of Adetunbi R. Ogunleye and Sunday Awoniyi of the Religion and African Culture department; Bamidele Are of English Studies; K. T. Adegbehigbe of Microbiology; Otitoloju Kekere of Plant Science and Biotechnology and Oluyinka A. Ojedokun of Pure and Applied Psychology have also been appointed readers.
