The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that amendments to the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates (WASSCE (SC)) 2024 candidate’s data are now restricted following the release of the results.
In a communication addressed to school principals, the Council clarified that no further changes to examination entries can be made for this examination cycle. However, amendments related to candidates’ names, sex, and subject entries are still permitted under specific conditions.
Each amendment will incur a fee of ₦26,000.
Principals are urged to complete any pending amendments promptly, as all corrections must be finalised before certificates are printed.
The Council also emphasized that requests for changes to candidates’ Date of Birth (DOB) will no longer be entertained, as this is a matter of policy.
The announcement highlights the importance of accuracy in the initial registration process and encourages schools to ensure that all necessary amendments are addressed within the stipulated guidelines.
