The Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND will hold a one-day public hearing and presentation of memoranda of three bills.
The event is scheduled to hold next week Wednesday at the Senate Conference Hall 022 by 2pm.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Clerk of the Committee, Dr. Mustapha Bintube and made available to Nigerian NewsDirect yesterday.
The statement reads ” the Chairman Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Tetfund, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita on behalf of members of the committee, cordially invite stakeholders and the general public to send in memoranda and attend a public hearing on three bills schedules as follows.
” A bill for an act to provide for the establishment of the Federal University of Education, Numan Adamawa state and for other matters connected therewith (establishment etc bills 2021) (SB:522) sponsored by Distinguished Senator Binos Yaroe Dauda (Adamawa South).
” A bill for an act to provide for the establishment of Federal University of Agriculture, Mpu, Enugu state and for other matters connected therewith (establishment etc bills 2021) (5B :690) sponsored by Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu Enugu West.
” A bill for an act to provide for the establishment of Federal College of Education, Bassambiri, Bayelsa state and other matters connected therewith (establishment etc bills 2021) (5B:775) sponsored by Distinguished Senator Biobarakuma Wangagha Degi- Eremienyo Bayelsa East.
According to the statement all memoranda should be submitted to the committee’s secreatarait at the Senate white House Room 4.1 in 12 hard copies and soft copies on flash drive or can equally send submission in words document via WhatsApp number: 09052394036 or email
The statement further stressed that the Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan will declare the public hearing open while the keynote address will be delivered by the Chairman of the Committee.
