Oyo concludes oral interview for teacher recruitment

The Oyo State Government has completed oral interviews for 8,077 candidates as part of its ongoing teacher recruitment exercise. This announcement was made by the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, during a board meeting in Ibadan.

Adeniran revealed, “A total of 50,700 applicants registered on the official website, and 45,827 took the examination. Out of these, 8,197 candidates scored above 50 marks.” He added that the interviews, which began on August 14 and ended on August 26, 2024, excluded applicants with disabilities.

The board has scheduled special interview sessions for persons with disabilities on September 10 and 11, 2024. “We have also finalized interview dates for caregivers, which will take place on September 12, 2024,” Adeniran said.

He praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to education, noting that the recruitment aligns with the state’s efforts to enhance education quality. “Only the most qualified candidates will be hired, ensuring a solid foundation for sustainable development in Oyo State,” Adeniran emphasized.

Candidates in the caregiver category are advised to check their portals for their interview schedule slips.
