Ogun announces date of teacher recruitment test, shortlists candidates

The Ogun State government has announced Thursday, 13th February, 2020 as the date of its teacher recruitment test.

This is as it released a list of applicants shortlisted for the conduct of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the recruitment process on Tuesday.

EduCeleb.com recalls that the government had in last quarter of 2019 called for application from interested and interested members of the public to teach in its public primary schools.

This exercise is being conducted by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Shortlisted candidates

A copy of the shortlisted candidates obtained by EduCeleb.com shows that no less than 4,921 applicants would be writing the CBT screening.

Meanwhile, shortlisted candidates can also confirm their status of being shortlisted at either the Ogun SUBEB headquarters in Abeokuta, any of the 20 Local Government Education Authorities, or Zonal Education Offices.

Preparing for the recruitment test

A statement from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education, Mrs Ronke Soyombo announced that applicants have been scheduled to write the CBT at specified times in designated centres across the state.

The five centres are Babcock University, Ilisan Remo, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Gateway ICT (formerly South-Western Resource Centre), Oke Mosan, Abeokuta; and the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.

Those whose names appear on the shortlist are to visit the Ogun State job portal at https://jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng to upload their pictures on their profile.

Thereafter, they should print out their examination slip at https://jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng/subeb-test.

Every applicant is expected to present the examination slip along with a valid identity card in order to gain entrance into the examination hall.
