NECO releases SSCE timetable, exam guidelines

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has made public the timetable and guidelines for the conduct of its 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for Senior Secondary three students.

NECO Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Godswill Obioma made this known on Tuesday during a press conference at the Council’s Headquarters in Minna.

This comes two weeks after the Federal Government released a comprehensive schedule for various national examinations for exit classes including Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School.

He added that other details of the schedule indicated that the SSCE, for SS3, conducted by NECO will start on 5th October and end on 18th November.

The Registrar explained that the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) for JSS three students, also conducted by NECO, will start on August 23 and end on September 7.

Last week, the West African Examinations Council also released its timetable for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE billed to commence from 17th August in centres across Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations will start on 21st September and end on 15th October.
