Lagos BECE resit exam rescheduled for October 12

The Lagos State Examinations Board has announced October 12 for the Conduct of the Year 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Resit Exam.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Director of the Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu notifying the general public especially the affected Public and Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools in the State that the Resit which was earlier postponed due to the planned nationwide strike action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress ( TUC) has now been rescheduled for Thursday, 12th October, 2023.

He stated that the examination will be held at various designated Centres across the Six (6) Education Districts in the State as listed below:

Orunsolu, therefore, implored the Principals and Owners of the concerned schools to take note of the NEW DATE, THURSDAY, 12th OCTOBER , 2023 and to ensure that the affected Candidates were well informed for effective participation in the Resit Examination as excuses for failure to participate in the examination by affected students would not be tenable after the conduct of the Test.

The director solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders in the State to enable the Board conduct a hitch – free resit examination.
