No fewer than 10 additional schoolchildren abducted by bandits from Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna State have regained freedom, after about three months in captivity.
The release of the 10 students increased the number of schoolchildren that had regain freedom from the bandits after 121 earlier kidnapped to 66 while others release were still been awaited from the abductors.
The release of the 10 students came barely two days after the Nigerian Polce, Kaduna Command arrested three of the students’ abductors during an ongoing rescue operation across the state.
Confirming the release on Sunday, the Vice President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the Northern states, Rev. Joseph Hayab, said, “Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits. We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support.
“We are trusting God that the rest will be released very soon. All have been reunited with their parents”, the cleric added.
