UNILAG Alumni to hold Congress, Networking Session

All is set for the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni (UMA) to hold its 28th Annual Congress and Networking session.

This event which is a part of its empowerment programme for the Muslim Alumni and graduating students of the institution, will take place on Sunday, 8th October, 2017.

A statement from the UMA Secretariat made available to EduCeleb.com on Thursday indicated that the theme of the Congress is “Small Scale Business Opportunities and Financing Options”. It will be discussed by Dr. Jubril Salaudeen, an expert in finance and business management and Chief Operating Officer, Citiserve Limited.

A side attraction to the networking event is a health talk titled “Cancer Prevention Awareness” to be delivered by Dr. Habeeb Mohammed.

The events would hold at the Islamic Centre Hall at the UNILAG Mosque, Akoka, Lagos beginning from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

According to the statement, the National President of UMA, Alhaji Akeeb Sola Oladokun will preside over the congress at which the executives will render account of their stewardship in the past one year to the generality of the members.

The annual congress is among several capacity enhancing initiatives held annually by the UMA. Among others include a Scholarship Award Scheme and Capacity Training Programme for graduating UNILAG students.
