The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Professor Florence Banku Obi has made 9 vital appointments barely a week in office.
Among the new appointees are Dr Brenda Akpan of the Department of Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies. She is to serve as Director, Centre for Gender Development.
Dr German Effa Anagbolu of Department of Educational Foundations is to serve as the Director, Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) programme in the school.
Professor Monday Joshua would be Director, Centre for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLA) while Professor Anthonia Inaja would be serving as Director, Institute of Education.
Professor Chris Chukwurah from the Department of Vocational Education would be the Director, Committee on Business Operations on Campus (COBOC) while Mr Mathias Sunday is the Manager of the university’s Printing Press.
Dr Peter Oti of the Department of Accounting is the new Director, UNICAL Commercial Ventures.
Mr Maxwell Eba is the Deputy Director, Centre for General Studies (CGS).
Dr Doncklaimz Enamhe is the Secretary, Committee on Business operations on Campus.
This appointment is for a temporary period of two years and is effective from 1st December, 2020.
