The University of Ibadan (UI) has indicated that it was yet to release any cut off marks for entrants into the institution for 2017/2018 academic session.
According to the spokesman of the UI, Tunji Oladejo, in a statement made available to EduCeleb.com on Thursday, the university would determine and publicise the actual cutoff marks at the appropriate time.
Some lists are already in circulation online purported to be the cut-off marks for 2017/2018 admissions but this revelation by the management indicates their invalidity.
Candidates were advised to check on the university’s website regularly to know when the results would be made public.
The statement reads thus,
“We wish to inform candidates seeking admission to the University for the 2017/2018 academic session that the cut-off marks for courses have not been determined.”
“The marks will be published on the University website as soon as they are determined.”
Recall that the UI held its Post-UTME on 20th and 21st October, 2017, and we told you that the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Idowu Olayinka expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the exercise.
We also noted that the candidates seeking admission had a hitchfree experience at the exam venues spread across the university. We would keep you informed once the marks list is out.
