President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of dozens of individuals into the governing councils of federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across the country.
This latest round of appointments, announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, takes immediate effect and aims to strengthen governance, oversight, and policy direction in Nigeria’s higher education institutions.

All the appointees are to assume their roles with immediate effect. Their task will include policy direction, oversight, and strategic planning for their respective institutions.
