Thomas Adewumi University, Oko, Kwara State, has expelled a former student, Mr. Adeleye Israel Olayisade, over alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.
The university management made this known in a public disclaimer shared via its official social media channels on Wednesday. According to the statement, Mr. Olayisade was a student enrolled in the Anatomy programme before his expulsion.
The university warned the general public—including individuals, organisations, and corporate partners—against engaging with the expelled student on any matter related to the institution.
“Mr. Adeleye Israel Olayisade no longer represents Thomas Adewumi University in any capacity and does not have any affiliation with the institution,” the statement read.
The management also used the opportunity to reaffirm its zero tolerance for fraud and misconduct, stating that it remains committed to upholding the values of integrity, discipline, and academic excellence.
The public was advised to verify any institutional dealings or enquiries via the university’s official communication platforms.
