The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has commissioned a new ICT Workplace Learning Hub at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), designed to equip students with cutting-edge digital skills and industry-relevant expertise.

Located in Ikeja’s Computer Village, the hub is a strategic initiative aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in the ICT sector. The facility will offer hands-on training to students, preparing them to meet the demands of Nigeria’s digital economy.

Speaking at the commissioning, YABATECH Rector, Engr. Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, highlighted the importance of the project:

“This hub will play a pivotal role in equipping our students with the knowledge and expertise required to excel in the ICT sector. It also fosters collaboration between the college and the tech community.”

Dr Abdul added that the hub is part of a broader institutional goal to produce future-ready, digitally empowered graduates, integrating real-world training with academic instruction.
