The Teachers’ Establishment and Pensions Office (TEPO), has put a smile on the faces of pensioners who live outside Lagos and Nigeria by introducing an online platform for verification.

The verification done through SKYPE at the TEPO ,Old Secretariat Ikeja, started October 18 and ends today.

The exercise requires pensioners’ personal data, oracle number, present location, last position held and date of retirement.
After the verification, a clearance certificate would be forwarded to the pensioners.

Permanent Secretary, TEPO, Mrs Sewanu Amosu, told The Nation that the verification which is done annually will continue so as to ease the burden of those people in diaspora.

She also said there is a need to verify to ensure the benefits gets to the beneficiaries as at when due and that they are alive and healthy.

Amusu said the vision is to reach out to people outside Lagos and Nigeria, adding that TEPO already have 37 beneficiaries in the diaspora.

“We have 37 people outside Nigeria and have asked them to spread the news amongst their friends and others, as well as visit the TEPO site-
