TASUED final year student killed by suspected cultists

Ola Fabiyi, a 400-level student of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), was tragically killed by suspected cultists in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. Fabiyi, a senator in the school’s Student Union Government (SUG), was reportedly dragged out of his examination hall and murdered in cold blood on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Eyewitnesses reported that Fabiyi was taken by his attackers in the presence of his classmates. He was assaulted, stabbed, and later taken to a bush where he was shot to death. The attack occurred despite the presence of numerous witnesses, highlighting a significant security breach.

Security personnel arrived at the scene only after the attackers had fled. Fabiyi was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Sources revealed that Fabiyi was celebrating his birthday and was preparing to ‘sign out’ from the institution on the day of his demise, marking the end of his university education.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the university community and has raised serious concerns about student safety and security on campus. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, and investigations are reportedly ongoing.
