Students from six Nigerian universities have been advised to confirm the receipt of their tuition fees following the recent loan disbursement by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). This applies to students who applied for the student loan between May 24th and July 17th, 2024, and whose applications have been approved.
The affected institutions include Bayero University Kano, University of Ilorin, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, University of Maiduguri, and Federal University Dutsinma.
Students from these universities are urged to promptly visit their respective institutions to verify that the funds have been received by the school’s accounts.
NELFUND clarified that the disbursement is being conducted in batches, assuring students that all approved loans will be disbursed transparently and on time. Students who applied after the current window will receive their funds in subsequent disbursements.
Students from other institutions whose loans have been approved but were not included in this disbursement cycle are encouraged to remain patient, as their loans will be processed in upcoming batches.
Students are also advised to log in to their NELFUND portal to check the status of their applications and stay updated on the disbursement process.
