The Oyo State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has drawn the attention of members of the public to a fake list of qualified applicants in circulation.
It particularly warned applicants, to be wary of antics of some swindlers on social media.
This is coming on the heels of a fictitious list of qualified candidates on social media platforms, for teachers’ recruitment in the state.
The purported list contained names of “successful candidates” in the just concluded teachers’ recruitment exercise.
Authorities added that no decision had been made public on the recruitment considering the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 influenced lockdown in the country.
In a statement signed by TESCOM’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs Olabisi Oderinde, the Commission affirmed that the list is fake.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the attention of the Oyo state Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has been drawn to a list circulating in the social media concerning on-going recruitment exercise.
“The said list is false, fictitious and a ruse as no list has been made nor published by TESCOM.
Mrs Oderinde urged applicants should wait for authentic information from the Executive Chairman of the commission after COVID-19 lockdown.
“Members of the Public and particularly applicants are advised to discountenance the lists and await authentic information from the Executive Chairman of the commission after COVID-19 lockdown. The member of the public will be rightly informed at the right time.”
