The Senate of Lagos State University (LASU) at a Special Session on Tuesday, 27th August, 2019 re-elected Oyedamola Oke, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration for another two years.
Mr Oke, a plant pathology professor, defeated the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Gabriel Shonaike, to emerge winner.
Oke is a former Dean, Faculty of Science of the University.
He joined the services of LASU as an Assistant Lecturer in 1984 and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 2004.
His new tenure will commence on Saturday, 5th October, 2019.
