A non-governmental organisation, The Helpmates Foundation (THF) said it would kit-up 200 school children in 2019.
It revealed this on Monday in its Children’s Day message expressing readiness to collaborate with others to achieve that.
“We believe that with your collaborative effort, we can make this happen and even do better,” a statement jointly signed the THF Executive Director, Rasheedah Opere and Communications Director, Lateef Sanni read.
Noting that quality education is a right to be protected, it charged all stakeholders to assist a child today in reaching his full potential.
“Helping students realise their truest callings without restriction to the formal setting, defines quality education, to which, every child has a right,” the group added.
Quality Education is a right protected by various international conventions including; International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the 1959 Declaration of the Rights of a Child and a host of others. Governments and public authorities are saddled with the responsibility, to ensure that Quality Education is made available, freely to all citizens from the early childhood stage into adulthood.
