The Head of the Lagos State Civil Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola has assured the Lagos State College of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health, Igando of his maximum support at effecting the transition of the school to a full-fledged College.
He made this assertion during a courtesy visit by the management team led by the Acting Provost of the College, Mrs Oyefunso Orenuga to his office recently, positing that the transition of the school into a college reveals government’s intention of enhancing the quality of nursing education in Lagos State.
Mr Muri-Okunola implored the team to work towards achieving the government’s objectives for upgrading the institution and brace up for the attendant challenges that may arise.
Earlier, the College Provost and leader of the delegation, Mrs Oyefunso Orenuga congratulated the Head of Service on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure.
Orenuga assured the Head of Service that, in conjunction with her team members, they will work assiduously to ensure the continued success of the College towards the provision of qualitative education in the health sector in line with the State policy.
