Kano appoints provosts at health science, nursing colleges

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has approved the appointments of Provosts of College of Health Science and Technology and that of College of Nursing and Midwifery, together with Deputy Provosts, Registrars, Bursars and Librarians.

Ganduje enjoined the newly appointed officers to use modern technology in discharging their responsibilities, while sticking to academic excellence and discipline.

This was contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar on Tuesday.

Ganduje in the statement said, “You are chosen from many other qualified people. You should therefore strive hard and display high degree of seriousness and commitment to duty.’’

The statement said all the appointments are with immediate effect.

“Ganduje directed all the newly appointed officials to always make sure that, they work closely with all sections of the Colleges, ranging from academic staff, non-academic staff, students and other communities of the Colleges,” said the statement.

“The appointed officials are, for the College of Health Science and Technology, Malam Bara’u Muhammad Kofar Nassarawa is the Provost, Garba Haruna Abubakar, Deputy Provost, Sani Abdulkarim Daddarawa, College Registrar, Aminu Idris Yakasai, College Bursar and Rabi’u Ali Nasidi, as College Librarian.

“While College of Nursing and Midwifery, has Mairo Sa’id Muhammad, as College Provost, Abdullahi Dahiru, Deputy Provost, Abdullahi Dalhat, College Bursar, Salisu Muhammad Jella, College Registrar and Hajara Abdullahi, College Librarian.’’
