The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates can now print their result slips for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to a statement by JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Monday, the slips, which include candidates’ photographs and advanced security features, are available for printing at approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres starting from Monday, 22 July 2024.
Benjamin emphasized the importance of using approved channels for printing the result slips, stating, “Please note that result slips cannot be printed from cyber cafes or other internet-enabled platforms.” This measure is intended to prevent fraudulent activities, such as attempted score inflation, which individuals may try to exploit during this process.
He further explained, “It is important to note that candidates’ scores were previously released via the Board’s sort codes, so this physical copy serves as a secure and verifiable record of their results.”
The announcement follows an earlier delay in the printing of the 2024 UTME result slips. On 18 July 2024, JAMB revealed during its policy meeting in Abuja that three candidates, Olowu Joseph from Ondo State, Alayande David from Oyo State, and Orukpe Joel from Edo State, scored 367 and emerged as the highest scorers for the examination.
Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided by JAMB to ensure the integrity and authenticity of their result slips.
