Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a member of staff of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Ifeanyi Onyenankeya at Okigwe, Imo State.
Mr Onyenankeya hails from Arondizuogu in Okigwe Local Government and works at the NECO office in Owerri.
According to his sister, Chinwendu Onyenankeya who confirmed the incident to EduCeleb.com, the kidnap victim was forcefully taken away from his father’s compound around 8pm on Monday, 12th August, 2019 at Ekeagbara area of Okigwe.
Ms Onyenankeya said he was “brutally beaten” in an attempt to resist the kidnap and was thereafter taken away.
She said the kidnappers were “three men on mask” who drove a Sienna car to carry out the act.
Mr Onyenankeya is 6.2 ft tall and dark in Complexion, and slim. He is a Christian.
