A Nigerian man who once enjoyed the benefits of a fully funded scholarship to study in Norway has recounted a dramatic fall from grace, revealing he now earns ₦4,000 daily by packing waste after being deported for drug trafficking.

His story was shared in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) by @PH_Socials, along with videos where he openly detailed how he transitioned from an academic opportunity abroad to criminal involvement.

According to the man, peer influence led him astray shortly after arriving in Norway. He said he began associating with individuals using white crystal and marijuana, and was eventually introduced to drug trafficking by a fellow Nigerian from Bayelsa.

“I moved the first drop from Norway to Italy, and during the second one, the Bayelsa people in Norway were celebrating me,” he said. “Not long after, I was convicted.”

Following his arrest, Norwegian authorities expelled him for bringing narcotics into the country. Upon his return to Bayelsa, he resorted to menial work to survive.

“Now, I throw away people’s dirty every morning. They pay me ₦4,000 daily. I’m hoping for a government job,” he added, visibly remorseful.

The story has since drawn widespread reactions online, serving as a cautionary tale about the consequences of poor choices and the dangers of peer pressure abroad.
