Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB ) has procured working tools and office equipment worth several millions of Naira to benefitting workers and inevitably, service delivery by the board.
Items procured by the Board include; desktop and laptop computers, video and photo cameras as well as digital Vernier Slide Calipers for measuring and guaging roofing sheets used in construction.
Presenting the items to departments of the Board in Ado Ekiti, the SUBEB Executive Chairman, Professor Femi Akinwumi said the procurement of the tools was approved by the State Governor, Kayode Fayemi as part of concerted efforts of Government at ensuring that the Board delivers on its mandate of effective monitoring of academic activities and supervision of projects in public primary schools in the state.
Akinwumi noted that the procurement was coming in the heels of the recent purchase of one Toyota Hilux van and 57 motorcycles for the board’s Quality Assurance Officers for effective monitoring and supervision of the 909 public primary schools as well as Junior Secondary Schools in the state under the UBEC/SUBEB Continuous Quality Assurance Program.
Stressing that the newly acquired working tools would guarantee proper supervision of SUBEB projects being handled by contractors in the State, Akinwumi however emphasised the need for the workers to imbibe proper maintenance culture and make judicious use of the equipment.
The SUBEB Chairman who also noted that the board had gone digital with the installation of WiFi wireless facilities at the premises of the Board, assured that no stone would be left unturned towards achieving the best possible, adding that efforts were in top gear for the procurement of bouncing hammers for the testing the integrity of concrete used in construction of SUBEB projects. For information on Press Releases, Photos, Promotional Events and Adverts, Please Call or Send a Text to 09052129258, 08124662170 or send an email to: email@example.com
