A Junior Secondary School (JSS) student identified as Zara was allegedly assaulted by senior colleagues at Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC), formerly known as Nigerian Turkish International Colleges, Abuja.
The incident reportedly involved three Senior Secondary School (SSS) students and was said to have occurred within the school premises.
The alleged assault became public after video clips linked to the incident surfaced online and circulated across social media platforms, drawing widespread public reactions.
In one of the video clips, one of the girls was allegedly heard making a threat during a conversation conducted in Hausa, saying:
“I will deal with you.”
In another clip linked to the incident, the same girl appeared to be speaking during what looked like a phone conversation involving a man. She was heard saying:
“Let’s listen to him.”
As of the time of filing this report, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remained unclear.
There was also no immediate official statement from the management of the school regarding the matter.
The incident has reignited concerns over bullying and student-on-student violence in elite Nigerian secondary schools.
This comes after a similar bullying case at Lead British International School, Abuja, where the management launched an investigation into a viral video showing a student being repeatedly slapped and assaulted by classmates.
In one of the clips from that earlier case, the victim was seen being slapped repeatedly while being asked:
“Who broke my heart?”
Another video showed the same student being interrogated and physically assaulted by a classmate.
The incident generated nationwide outrage, with many Nigerians demanding justice and stronger anti-bullying measures.
Similarly, in March 2026, Igbinedion Education Centre, Benin City, expelled students involved in a bullying and physical assault case after a video of the incident circulated online.
The latest allegation involving NTIC Abuja has renewed calls for school authorities and education regulators to strengthen monitoring systems and ensure the safety and protection of students within school environments.
