BREAKING: School pupils trapped as Lagos building collapses

A three-storey building has collapsed at Itafaaji, Lagos Island with over a hundred people including school children trapped in its rubbles. Rescue operations are ongoing to save the victims with majority being school children whose school is located on its third floor. Rescue workers say eight bodies had so far been recovered from the rubles while twenty-five had been rescued alive. Lagos State governor has consoled with the families of the deceased but made no mention of any immediate action against the owners of the property which also serves residential and commercial purposes.
