Results of the October/November 2018 accreditation of academic programmes at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) by the National Universities Commission (NUC) have shown that all 14 programmes assessed by the regulator passed the exercise.
A letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Suleiman Bala Mohammed and signed by the Director of Accreditation at the NUC, Dr. N. B. Saliu, indicates that while about 80% of the programmes recorded full status, only 20% had interim status.
This indicates that none failed the exercise.
The 14 programmes include Biochemistry, Chemistry, Geology and Mining, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics
Others are, Economics, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Theatre Arts, Chemistry Education, Physics Education, and Guidance & Counseling.
About 22 of the more than 50 programmes of the University were due for accreditation before the November 2018 industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) truncated the process.
