Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved a cabinet reshuffle that includes the replacement of the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the announcement was made through a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi.
As part of the reshuffle, the outgoing Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Solihu Adelabu, has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Establishments and Training. He is replaced by Segun Olayiwola, who previously served as the Commissioner for Establishments.
The changes also affected other ministries. Seun Ashamu, formerly Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, has been moved to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who was in charge of the Environment Ministry, will now oversee the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Similarly, Dahud Shangodoyin, the former Commissioner for Public Works, will now take over the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Governor Makinde directed that the reshuffle takes immediate effect and urged the commissioners to continue to serve with loyalty, dedication, and in the best interest of the state.
