Following approval by the Council of Legal Education for Law graduates of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to proceed to Law School, the Nigeria Law School has opened its portal for admission processes.
This is the first time such access is being provided since the NOUN Act was amended to enable its graduates enrol in the programme that would make them qualified lawyers.
NOUN graduates are to attend a special remedial courses called bar part II at the Nigeria Law School, Bwari, Abuja beginning from 3rd May, 2021.
However, the application will commence from Monday, 29th March, 2021, on the school portal.
Disclosing the development, head of information of the Nigeria Law School, Mr. Chinedu Ukekwe, said that the Council of Legal Education approved Admission for the National Open University graduates to commence remedial programme at the School, but the Council is still putting modalities in place to see to that.
Ukekwe said, the portal is open to Law School graduates from NOUN, whose particulars have been forwarded to the Nigerian Law School by the Registrar of the Institution earlier.
He advised the affected applicants to confirm their names on the Law School website before making payment for application form.
According to him, the Council of Legal Education will make further pronouncement regarding further developments.
He advised the prospective applicants to visit the School website: www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng Follow the instructions, complete the forms and submit the same online. Thereafter download and print a copy of completed forms A2, B1, and B2.
Downloaded Application forms together with References on applicants MUST be completed and returned to the Nigerian Law School on or before Friday, April 23, 2021. Applicants are to note that late submission of application forms will not be entertained.
They are to further note their Application Numbers as it will be required to check their admission status subsequently.
