The Lagos State University Muslim Alumni (LASUMA) has successfully awarded N6.9 million scholarships to 60 undergraduate and postgraduate students of LASU under its annual scholarship programme.
The 2025 scholarship event that was initially announced at the LASUMA 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Awards in Eko Club, Surulere in the presence of the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadiri Hamzat as the Keynote Speaker, and the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, was extended to various postgraduate students including international students.
LASUMA President, Dr Abdul-Azeez Anjorin who was highly delighted and thankful to his Creator, described the scholarship award as a dream come true having benefitted from local and international scholarships throughout his sojourn as a young scholar. He sincerely appreciated all prominent LASUMA members that primarily sponsored the 2025 event including CP Lateef Adio Ahmed, Sen. Idiat Adebule, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, HRM. Oba Galib Rufai, Hon. Muhibat Rufai-Adeyemi, Hon. Razak Ajala, Shk. Shakirudeen AbdulGafar (Mofesaye), CSP Idris Sarumi, and Alh. Mujitaba Rufai, amongst others.
