The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially shifted the commencement date of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Thursday, April 24, 2025, from the earlier announced date of Friday, April 25.
According to a statement signed by JAMB’s public image maker, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, and shared on the Board’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday (today), the change is to accommodate essential commitments by JAMB and its partner agencies.
As part of preparations, candidates are now advised to begin printing their examination Notification Slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025. The slips contain vital information such as exam date, time, venue, and instructions.
To print the UTME slip, candidates should:
- Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
- Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”
- Enter their registration number
- Click on “Print Examination Slip”
Key highlights from JAMB’s statement:
- All candidates will take the exam within their chosen examination towns.
- No candidate will be posted outside their selected location.
- Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit their centres at least a day before the exam to avoid last-minute confusion.
JAMB reiterated its commitment to a smooth and successful 2025 UTME and advised all candidates to stay informed through official platforms.
