The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the rescheduled 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was conducted for candidates affected by technical issues during the original exam sessions, as well as those who were marked absent.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the board confirmed that 336,845 candidates were rescheduled for the exercise. However, 21,082 candidates failed to show up for the exam.
“Of the 336,845 who were eventually scheduled after isolated good sessions of the affected centres were excluded and their previously unverified candidates were added, 21,082 were absent,” the statement read.
How to Check 2025 UTME Resit Results
JAMB confirmed that candidates can access their resit results via text message, using the same method employed for the main 2025 UTME. To check, candidates should simply send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used for registration.

The resit, which began on May 16, was part of the board’s efforts to ensure fairness and integrity after over 379,000 candidates were initially affected by technical glitches at 157 centres across Lagos and the South-East zones. JAMB has reiterated its commitment to credible examinations and transparent admissions processes.
