In a significant development, the Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai has successfully rescued another Chibok girl from the notorious Sambisa Forest in Borno State.

The rescue operation marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to locate and bring back the kidnapped students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, who were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in April 2014.

Major General Waheed Shuaibu, the Theatre Commander, made the announcement while officially handing over the rescued girl, Ehi Abdul, and her two children to the Borno State Government at the Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri on Monday, July 22.

Ehi Abdul, 27, was married to a notorious terrorist, Abu Dada, who abandoned her in Gwoza in 2014 before fleeing to Senegal. Ehi and her children were rescued by Sector One of Operation Hadin Kai during a recent operation in the Sambisa Forest.

The rescue of Ehi Abdul brings renewed hope and underscores the commitment of the Nigerian military to secure the release of all abducted individuals and restore peace in the region.
