Adeleke University has firmly denied rumors that a 100-level male student was sexually assaulted and murdered by 500-level male students, dismissing the claims as “malicious and misleading.”

The university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Solomon Adebola, released an official statement on Friday addressing the rumors, which reportedly originated from an unknown platform, AU TV.

“As a faith-based institution, Adeleke University is committed to protecting our students from any form of harassment, exploitation, or abuse,” Adebola stated. “This baseless news aims solely to damage our reputation.”

Professor Adebola emphasized that the university prioritizes the safety, security, and well-being of all its students. “Our students’ welfare remains at the heart of our institution’s mission,” he added, reinforcing Adeleke University’s dedication to a secure learning environment.

The university further warned those responsible for spreading false information, stating that they would be held legally accountable.

“We will not hesitate to pursue legal action against those attempting to harm the reputation of this institution through misinformation,” the statement concluded.

Adeleke University has urged the public to disregard these unfounded claims and remain confident in its ongoing commitment to student protection.
