The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has approved the appointment of substantive Deans, Deputy Deans and Heads of Departments across the university.
The appointments, which take effect from January 19, 2026, are for a tenure of two years, according to a statement released by the university.
Newly Appointed Deans
Those appointed as Deans include:

- Dr (Mrs.) Benjamin Grace Uyagu, Faculty of General Education
- Dr Usman Muawiya Haruna, Faculty of Sciences Education

In the Faculty of General Education, appointments include Dr Bukky Keston (Educational Foundation/Management), Dr Ashiru Mohammed Adamu (Educational Technology), Dr Musa Aliyu Hamza (Curriculum and Instruction), Dr Abdullahi Bako Aliyu (Guidance and Counselling), Dr Muhammad Ali Gimi (Educational Administration and Planning), and Mal. Mustapha Abubakar (Educational Psychology).
The Faculty of Arts Education now has Dr Muhammad Sani Auwal (Arabic Education), Dr Oladimeji Tosin Halima (English Education/Literature), Dr Illah Roseline O. (French Education), Dr Mohammed Habiba (Language Arts and Communication), Dr Ikechiamaka Lucky Osuagwu (Christian Religious Studies), Dr Usman J. Muhammad (Islamic Studies), Dr Bayaro Kyambo Safiyannu (Hausa Education), Dr Balarabe Hafsat Musa (Social Studies and Civic Education), Mrs Gabriel Mercy Chika (Igbo), and Mrs Adewusi Rashidat Atinuke Abiola (Yoruba).
For the Faculty of Sciences Education, the appointed Heads of Departments include Mrs Mouktar Hurera Maccido (Health Education), Dr Jember Amua (Human Kinetics), Dr Akut Yakubu Bobai (Environmental Education), Dr Lawal Sa’adatu Bagiwa (Biology Education), Dr Mohammed Binta Asabe (Chemistry Education), Dr Abba Abubakar (Computer Science), Dr Sulaiman Zainab (Integrated Science), Dr Srajo Ado (Mathematics Education), Dr Bello Musa (Physics Education), and Dr Suleiman Umar Bambale (Geography Education).
In the Faculty of Vocational and Technical Education, appointments went to Dr Musa Dalhatu Wambai (Agricultural Education), Dr Usman Hauwa Nana (Business Education), Mrs Abdullahi Rabi (Home Economics), Dr Saleh Rakiya (Fine and Applied Arts), and Dr Sani Amina (Entrepreneurship).
The Faculty of Social Science Education now has Mr Gabriel Bartholomew Ochigbo (Creative Arts Education), Dr Ubangida Shu’aibu (Economics Education), Miss Bot Kachallom (Political Science), Miss Mohammed Amina (Library and Information Science), and Dr Morohunkade Ajibola (Theatre Arts).
In the Faculty of Specialised Education, the newly appointed Heads of Departments are Dr Duruh Chinwe Lillian (Early Childhood Education), Dr Mohammed Madaki Yusuf (Adult and Continuing Education), Mr Ishaya Sunday Shok (Special Needs Education), and Dr Lamido Mary Buba (Primary Education).

While congratulating the appointees, Professor Bunkure assured them of the full support of the university management and urged them to discharge their duties with diligence, professionalism and strict adherence to the university’s rules and guiding principles.
He expressed confidence that the appointments would strengthen academic leadership and enhance effective service delivery across the institution.
