Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, has named Professor Olalekan Asikhia as its new Vice-Chancellor, following the completion of tenure by his predecessor, Professor Nosa Owens-Ibie.

The appointment, announced on Wednesday via a statement signed by the university’s Information, Media and Publication Specialist, Olawale Adekoya, marks what the institution described as “a new dawn of academic brilliance and visionary leadership.”

Prof. Asikhia, a globally recognised scholar in Business Administration, brings over 30 years of experience as an academic, researcher, institutional leader, management consultant, and entrepreneur. He is also credited with positioning the university on the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings and is ranked among the top 3% of Nigerian researchers in Business Administration by the AD Scientific Index.

A recipient of multiple international research grants, Prof. Asikhia holds two doctoral degrees—a PhD in Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Doctor of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
