A committee has been set up to investigate Peace Ufuoma, a student of UNIBEN who recently wore a shirt that read “aggressive malpractice brought me this far”.

Ms Ufuoma, a microbiology student at the university had just completed her final year examinations when she wore the shirt that got social media attention after it went viral.

A meeting within her department earlier in the week had given mandate to an ad-hoc committee to establish if indeed her claims were true.

A document shared with EduCeleb.com on Friday showed that the department headed by Professor S.E. Omonigbo had constituted a six-persons committee to look into the matter.

They are to among other things investigate Ufuoma’s involvement in any examination malpractice, what exactly transpired about the online publications and scrutinise all her results till date including all examination scripts.

Also, the committee would scrutinise all marking schemes for all her courses to establish how true the inscription on her shirts were on whether she did malpractices and to possibly provide any other useful information on the matter.

The ad-hoc departmental committee within the UNIBEN Faculty of Life Sciences is chaired by Professor F.E. Oviasoge who would be assisted by Mrs J.Z. Saidu, Dr R. Adams, Mr P.O. Igbinomwanhia, Mrs J.O. Arasomwan, and Dr I.B. Idemudia.
