The Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, (TESCOM) has revealed that only 10 percent of applicants who wrote the teaching recruitment test scored above 50 percent.

Chairman of Oyo TESCOM, Mr Akinade Alamu disclosed this about a Computer-Based Test (CBT) meant to recruit new post-primary school teachers in the state.

Alamu revealed this on Monday while speaking on Ibadan-based radio station, Fresh FM.

The results of the test conducted last week was earlier released on 29th August.

Speaking further, Alamu lamented that the TESCOM board is confused about how to carry out the recruitment exercise due to the poor performance of applicants.

He also stated that some stakeholders have advised the board to recruit applicants and grade them based on the subject they would teach.
